2022 Chevrolet Tahoe
Overview
When you want a big SUV, few options come as big as the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The full-size SUV comes large and in-charge with a spacious and well-appointed cabin, exceptional towing capacity, and an assortment of must-have features. Big changes for the 2022 model year include a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, standard on most trims. Speaking of trims, the Tahoe gives you six to choose from: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country.
The Perfect Ride For…
The multi-tasker. Incredible versatility is the name of the game for the Tahoe. Need to bring along the entire family for a road trip? The Tahoe seats up to eight comfortably while offering impressive legroom for second and third-row passengers. There’s even a power sliding center console and second-row seats that move fore and aft for added comfort. Bringing home a new appliance or a bunch of groceries? The second and third-row seats fold flat to create a cavernous 122.9 cubic feet of cargo space. Heading out to the lake with a boat in tow? When properly equipped, the Tahoe can pull up to 8,400 pounds without missing a beat. Want to go off-road? The Z71 trim offers outstanding off-road capability, along with welcome features like all-terrain tires and a distinctive front fascia designed to eliminate unnecessary overhangs.
Drive and Handling
The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe offers a trio of powerful engine choices, starting with the standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The available 6.2-liter V8 engine will satisfy anyone’s craving for extra power with 420 horsepower on tap. For those who prefer the low-end torque and brute strength of a diesel engine, the optional Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel inline 6-cylinder delivers just that, along with an ample 460 pound-feet of torque. The Duramax also offers thrifty long-distance driving with an EPA-estimated highway range of up to 672 miles. All three engines rely on a 10-speed automatic transmission to deliver power to the rear wheels or all four wheels on 4WD-equipped models.
The optional four-corner air ride adaptive suspension adjusts the Tahoe’s ride height for added clearance, as well as to improve aerodynamics at highway speeds and make ingress and egress easier when parked. Available Magnetic Ride Control provides the Tahoe with a balanced, well-poised ride.
Key Features
Advanced Trailering System
Anyone who makes regular use of the 2022 Tahoe’s max towing capacity will appreciate this available feature. Not only does it add practical tools like pre-departure checklists and customized trailer profiles, but it even adds inside and transparent trailer views to make backing up and seeing obstacles behind and around the trailer easier.
Multiple Camera Views
With up to 13 different camera views available, the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe makes parking and maneuvering the full-size SUV easier. These camera views include a 360-degree bird’s eye view for spotting nearby obstacles and pedestrians.
Infotainment Features
The 2022 Tahoe steps up its infotainment game with a host of new and innovative features. Google built-in compatibility gives users access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play without having to connect their smartphone. Alexa Built-In brings the capabilities of Amazon’s virtual assistant technology along for the ride. Users can access these features and more via the available 10.2-inch touch screen display. Rear passengers can also get in on the action with available 12.6-inch touch screen displays.
