2023 Chevrolet Equinox Electric
Overview
The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact crossover SUV first introduced in 2004. Since then, it has continued to evolve and transform. Today, the Chevrolet Equinox offers a comfortable and spacious cabin, good fuel efficiency, and a smooth ride. You can even choose between a front-wheel and all-wheel drive configuration, based on your needs. However, Chevrolet is unveiling the first-ever, all-electric 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. The new 2023 Chevrolet Electric Vehicle (EV) combines everything you've come to love about the vehicle in a more modern and electric package. Let's take a closer look at the new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox Electric!
The Perfect Ride For...
The new Chevrolet Equinox Electric is the perfect vehicle for families, weekend warriors, college students, and anyone who wants to reduce their carbon footprint. This stunning innovation offers comfortable seating for up to five people as well as a maximum cargo space of 57.2 cubic feet. It even features an innovative dual-height cargo floor. It's available in five different trims:
• Equinox EV 1LT
• Equinox EV 2LT
• Equinox EV 2RS
• Equinox EV 3LT
• Equinox EV 3RS
The entry-level 1LT Equinox EV comes equipped with the Standard Chevrolet Safety Assist as well as a large 11-inch diagonal Driver Information Center and display screen. Stepping up to the Equinox EV 2LT allows you to choose between front-wheel drive or the available eAWD. The 2LT also features a stylish front LED light bar as well as heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated mirrors. The Equinox EV 2RS sports large 20-inch aero wheels, a stylish heated flat-bottom steering wheel, and distinct exterior styling.
Stepping up to the 3LT builds upon previous trims and offers a larger 17.7-inch diagonal touch screen, ventilated front seats, available Head-Up Display, Reverse Automatic Braking, and much more. But if you want the highest level of luxury, the Equinox EV 3RS boasts 21-inch dark aero wheels, stand-out exterior styling, an available 19.2 KW Level 2 charging module, and an available Super Cruise. Regardless of the trim, the new Equinox EV proves electric doesn't have to mean exclusive.
Drive and Handling
The Equinox EV has been engineered on a similar platform as the Cadillac Lyriq and Chevrolet Blazer EV thanks to the iconic Ultium platform. Built from the ground up to power most Chevrolet electric vehicles, the Ultium Platform provides a host of exciting driving and performance characteristics. It boasts almost instant electric torque to quickly accelerate while passing. The new Equinox EV boasts up to 290 HP with its eAWD drivetrain. This means the Equinox EV can blaze 0 - 60 in as little as 6 seconds. At the same time, the Equinox EV can tow up to 1,500 lbs.
Whether you're traveling across town or cross country, the Equinox EV is built to take you there and beyond. This modern EV compact SUV can impressively travel up to 300 miles on a full charge. And when activated, the One Pedal Driving and Regen on Demand will intuitively convert the vehicle's kinetic energy into stored power in the battery. With the Equinox EV, charging is a breeze. The standard 11.5 kW level 2 (AC) charging station can effortlessly add up to 34 miles of range per hour of charging. If you're on the road, you can tap into one of the thousands of DC Fast Charge stations throughout the US. Most of these charging stations can deliver up to 70 miles of range in just 10 minutes of charging.
Key Features
Hands-Free Start System
Say your goodbyes to traditional ways of starting your vehicle. The new Equinox EV can detect your presence and instinctively start whenever you have your key fob on your person. This way, you can simply shift into Drive and get on the move.
Super Cruise
With the Equinox EV, you can enjoy the freedom of hands-free driving on over 400,000 miles of road in Canada and the U.S. thanks to the Super Cruise driver assistance tech.
Alternative Options
For drivers who aren't ready to make the all-electric switch just yet, the gasoline-powered Equinox still offers incredible technology and efficiency.
