Overview

The 2024 Motortrend Truck of the Year and Edmunds Top Rated Truck for 2024 earns every award it receives. The Colorado combines beautifully rugged styling and superior performance with the latest technology and driver comfort. Its segment-leading 7,700 lbs. trailering capacity allowed the Colorado to outperform others on the road or off. Combining brute force with the clever application and availability of technology, the Colorado is a top-notch work truck that performs whether you need to drive in the clouds or access the cloud.

Who's It For?

Unlike many vehicles suited for a narrow audience, Chevrolet’s 2024 Colorado mid-size truck lineup has something for everyone. With trim levels ranging from the fully off-road-capable ZR2 Bison to the basic Work Truck, along with four standard and five available drive modes, the Colorado is a truck suited to everyone and every purpose, whether you are hauling a trailer or just hauling down the road.

What's New For 2024?

Redesigned for 2023, 2024 brings the ZR2 Bison edition. Partnering with AEV, the off-road-capable Bison offers superior offroad performance, ride quality, handling, and safety. Its boron steel skid plates and rocker protectors provide best-in-class underbody protection, and its best-in-class approach angle (38.2 deg.), departure angle (26 deg.), and breakover angle (26.9 deg.) allow access to the toughest environments.

The 2024 model also makes the 11.3-inch Driver Information Center standard on all models, eliminating the 8-inch version from 2023.

Real World Performance

Chevrolet built the Colorado to embody the best of the midsize truck segment, with practicality at the forefront. The automaker didn't skimp on fun though. The standard 2.7-liter turbocharged engine produces up to 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Those who want maximum performance from their Colorado should opt for the more powerful TurboMax™ engine, which produces up to 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

The Colorado’s 7,700-pound trailering capacity allows for the easy hauling or trailering you’d expect of a mid-size pickup. Despite the Colorado’s ability to haul loads and handle rough terrain, its on-the-road performance makes the drive to and from the work site as enjoyable as you’ll get from a pickup truck.

Usability is the core of Colorado’s five-foot cargo bed and tailgate, with available built-in bed power outlets and cargo bed lighting. Eight standard fixed tie-downs (17 available) keep gear in place, and the StowFlex Tailgate comes with a lockable storage compartment with a drain plug for wet gear or to double as a cooler.
